A-muis-ing Birthday Cake Biscuits

It was my friend Alice's birthday in the middle of July, but she went off to Cape Town to spend a million years there - so when she got back on this week, she came over for dinner to collect the goodness that had been baked for her :)
Muis child....hope you liked the biscuits, sorry they were late, but that is what you get when you choose to be such a jet setter! :)

Birthday Biscuits for Tash

Tash works in my office, and it is her birthday this morning  - I didn't have time to make her cupcakes coz I was in Joburg last night, so she got the next best thing....chocolate chip cookies! :)

Happy Birthday Tash!
Hope you have a fantastic day today :)

Bottled Biscuit Love

One of the worst things about moving towns is that when you have a friend who is having a bad day, there is nothing that you can do about it...because they aren't in your town anymore!  Fortunately for me, I'm heading to Cape Town this weekend and I'm taking these biscuits with me...a little bit of home baked goodness for a friend with a sore heart...little bits of my heart to fill the bits of hers that are hurting.

Chin up my girl - things will get better eventually, and if you aren't feeling better by Friday, at least I will be there for a hug.

Lots of love

World Cup Opening Ceremony Love

I made these for a dinner that I went to on day of the opening game of the World Cup...GO BAFANA!!!

I'm so excited that the World Cup is finally here - the vibe is amazing and I'm so proud of South Africa for a rocking opening ceremony!

Ginger Ninja

Ok, so I know they are not really ninja's, but they were really yummy...and Ginger Ninjas just sounds cooler!

I made these ginger bread men as Christmas gifts, and they're actually really easy to make...you forget how easy when you get past 6 years old and no longer bake with your granny!

Either way, Granny or no Granny, they're super quick and easy, and I highly recommend them as a sneaky homemade gift...people always seem to love something more when you've made it yourself (provided it's not burnt), and it was weird to see how people love Gingerbread men - it's like it reminds them of their childhood or something....so, even if it was just in my circle of friends and family - ginger flavoured men were a real hit during the festive season....who knew?
