Coffee and Nougat Cake

The Farmer is coming to visit us in Durbs today for a birthday lunch, so I decided to make him a birthday cake....given that he likes nougat, I thought i would be nice to top the cake with some chopped up pieces of Sally Hansens finest...although it has to be said that when the cake was finished it looked a lot more like it was topped with popcorn than it looked like it was topped with nougat....it was delish all the same!

Sharks Cupcakes

My Mum made these RAD little Sharks cupcakes for a friend of hers' birthday today....HOW COOL ARE THEY!  Clearly I get my baking skills (and creativity) from her...it appears I also get my Sharks fever from her as well!  Love the cupcakes Beazle - they are your best ones yet!

We may have lost last weekend, but watch this space...we will be back on top of the log soon enough!  And when we are, please feel free to place your orders for cupcakes just like these ones...to be shared with non-Shark fans specifically - just to give them a taste of victory! :)

How cool is my Dad!

My Dad was in the UK recently for a book fair, and when he came back, he brought me all of the stuff in the pic that you can see above....how cool! :)

You can imagine my excitement when I started unpacking one thing, after the next, after the next....SO RAD!!! Cannot wait to get going on the recipies in the book - which gets two thumbs up from Nigella and Jude Law...YES!!
